When it melted I'm sure the plants just sagged. I missed the leaf drop but we were surprised to see every leaf off our pomegranate tree. Why are the leaves still on the Spanish oaks I wonder. There is much damage in my garden and I won't really know until the spring.Rock rose https://www.blogger.com/profile/00348711150803587369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7567066498008776041.post-54492364421432696882009-12-11T06:40:44.192-06:002009-12-11T06:40:44.192-06:00The tree leaf drop is awesome. Then when I saw it - I could not believe how fast the leaves were falling. The guys (at work) came over to see what I was staring at for so long. Amazing - hard to describe.Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12033277685098746417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7567066498008776041.post-6946190844730509742009-12-10T18:14:54.460-06:002009-12-10T18:14:54.460-06:00Thanks for your detailed observations. I guess they've usually all fallen before we get such a hard freeze. I can't remember ever seeing it happen before and I've lived in Austin for 35 years and in my current house for 16.

I didn't rouse myself outside mss @ Zanthan Gardenshttp://www.zanthan.com/gardens/gardenlog/noreply@blogger.com
