GGW Picture This Photo Contest: March 2010

After much consideration and another crop, I'm entering this photo of my baby dwarf pomegranate tree in Gardening Gone Wild's Picture This photo contest. The theme for March is "Awakening", which is exactly what this little tree is doing, much to my delight.

  1. Very pretty...awakening. It is so tiny with such a clear focus.
This Austin weather is crazy. I just covered up my tomato plants. :/

  2. I've been wanting a pomegranate...flowers and fruit the deer don't eat, bushy shelter for birds. Your post is a good reminder.

  5. And your photo was one of my favorites! Boy was I nervous clicking through -- I really didn't want to have to give a non-committal compliment. Phew! Why have I not seen your blog before? I'll be reading now. Thank you for the lovely compliment.

  6. They really are lovely little trees, aren't they, Caroline? My 'Wonderful' can't manage to make 1 fruit on 6 feet of plant, but the 1-foot tall dwarf pomegranate made 2 fruits last year.

Best of luck with this terrific photo ;-]
